Terms - Legal Position Statement

The Remixed Records -  DJ's Only Archive is a historical documentation project dedicated to preserving the legacy of the SweMix DJ service and its contribution to Scandinavian dance music culture.
 
Operated in Stockholm from the late 1980s through the early 2000s as a professional DJ remix service. During that period, remix versions, DJ edits and extended club mixes were distributed to a membership-based network of DJs primarily in Scandinavia and Europe.
 
The purpose of this archive is to document and preserve that historical catalogue, including:

• Production credits
• Remix history
• DJ service releases

The archive is presented as a cultural and historical reference documenting the evolution of remix culture and the early development of the Scandinavian dance music scene. All original recordings, compositions and associated rights remain the property of their respective copyright holders, including artists, record labels and music publishers.
SweMix / Remixed Records does not claim ownership of original master recordings or underlying musical works unless explicitly stated.  The archive operates with full respect for the rights of artists, record labels and publishers. If any rights holder believes that material appearing within the archive raises concerns, we encourage them to contact us directly. We are committed to reviewing any such requests and will take appropriate action where necessary, including:

• restriction of access
• correction of metadata

The goal of this project is to preserve an important chapter of Scandinavian dance music history and make it accessible for documentation, research and cultural reference.
