Noble Savages

Noble Savages was a genre-blending German pop/dance project founded in 1989 by siblings Shirin and Cyrus Valentine. Shirin, known to many as a former VJ for Viva, and her brother Cyrus combined their artistic vision to create music that fused pop, reggae, and Indian musical influences—a sound that set them apart in the evolving European dance scene of the 1990s.

Their debut album, Ahimsa, Justice & A Crazy Horse (1992), introduced audiences to their eclectic style and cross-cultural approach. Known for their bold stage presence and powerful messages, Noble Savages quickly gained momentum, touring with The Wailers in 1990 and Dr. Alban in 1991. By 1996, they had released the album Made in India, featuring tracks like “Diggin’ in the Nose,” “I’m an Indian,” and “Can We Talk.” That same year, they proudly served as the opening act for Michael Jackson’s HIStory World Tour in India—an extraordinary milestone highlighting their international appeal.

Beyond performance, the duo established Savage Productions in 1996 and Savage Publishing in 1999, expanding their creative reach into music production and rights management. Noble Savages remain a unique voice in 90s pop history—bold, genre-defying, and proudly original.
