Sals 8 was an Italian electronic dance music project that brought a pulse of fresh energy to the early 2000s club scene. Formed by brothers Roberto Gallo Salsotto and Enzo Salsotto, the duo blended their musical creativity and production skills to craft a sound that was both infectious and unmistakably danceable. The name “Sals 8” cleverly fuses their family name with the Italian word for eight—“otto”—creating a sleek and memorable identity.

Their standout single, “Downtown,” released in 2000 and featuring vocalist Silvia Lucchi, quickly became a dancefloor favorite. With its catchy hook, vibrant synths, and upbeat rhythm, the track captured the essence of the era’s club culture. Released on RADIKAL Records, the single was made available in multiple formats and later featured on the 2003 compilation "Chicago's Most Wanted Dance Party," marking its continued popularity in the global dance scene.

Though Sals 8’s time in the spotlight was brief, their sound left a lasting impression. “Downtown” remains a nostalgic gem for fans of early 2000s Eurodance and electronic music. With its polished production and undeniable groove, Sals 8 proudly holds its place in the genre’s rich and rhythmic history.
