Intermission was a German Eurodance project that found success across Europe between 1993 and 1996. Developed by the Dance Music Production (DMP) team from Frankfurt, the project brought together producers Michael Eisele, Thorsten Adler, and Jürgen Katzmann, along with a rotating lineup of guest vocalists.
Their debut single “Honesty” (1993), featuring Nina Gerhard (formerly of Captain Hollywood Project), introduced their melodic, synth-driven sound. Later that year, “Piece of My Heart”—sung by Valerie Scott—became their breakout hit, reaching the top 10 in both Germany and Austria.
In 1994, Lori Glori lent her vocals to “Six Days” and “Give Peace a Chance,” both of which expanded Intermission’s presence on European charts. Other singles like “All Together Now” (a cover of The Farm’s hit) and “Planet Love” (featuring Raquel Gomez) followed, keeping the project active in the club scene.
Their album Piece of My Heart (1994) compiled many of these singles, showcasing the group’s consistent sound—uplifting, high-energy, and firmly rooted in the golden age of Eurodance.
After a period of silence, Intermission resurfaced in 2015 with signs of renewed activity, reminding fans of their role in shaping the sound of '90s dance music.
