Dominoo was a Swedish Euro-pop and dance group that emerged in the early 2000s, captivating audiences with their catchy melodies, vibrant visuals, and energetic performances. The group consisted of vocalist Sofia "Sophia" Löfgren, lyricist and vocalist Henrik "Horpe" Westman, music creator Stefan "Perra" Persson, and captain Petrik "Fiina" Ricciuti. Henrik and Stefan were formerly part of the Eurodance act West Inc., bringing experience and musical flair to Dominoo’s unique sound.
Their debut single, “Run Run Away”—a high-energy cover of Slade’s 1984 hit—was released in 2000, accompanied by a lively and colorful music video that helped the group stand out. In 2001, they followed up with the single “Hero,” further establishing their presence in the Scandinavian dance scene.
That same year, Dominoo released their album “Episodes,” a concept album inspired by history and geography. Each track represented a different cultural or historical theme, showcasing the group as fictional musical travelers exploring the world through sound.
Tragically, Petrik Ricciuti passed away in a car accident in 2001. Though the project was short-lived, Dominoo’s music lives on as a bright and imaginative example of early 2000s Swedish dance-pop.
