Bass Bumpers is a German Eurodance and house music project that first emerged in 1990, founded by Henning Reithand Caba Kroll. Their debut productions, “Can’t Stop Dancing” and “Get The Big Bass,” introduced their fresh and innovative blend of house and Eurodance, quickly making an impact on the club scene.
With the addition of vocalist Felicia Uwaje and rapper Ian Freeman, Bass Bumpers achieved international success with the singles “The Music’s Got Me” and “Move to the Rhythm” in 1992, both topping club charts worldwide. Their full-length album, “Advance” (1993), further cemented their place in dance music. Their final hit of this era, “Runnin’,” was released later that year before Uwaje and Freeman left, leading many to believe the project had ended.
However, Bass Bumpers returned with a new production team. In 1994, they were joined by Andreas Litterscheid (CJ Stone) and Chorn Pin Chang (Akira Yamamoto), followed by Reinhard Raith (DJ VooDoo), Frank Knebel (Level K), Massimo Nocito, and Sven Koslik in the early 2000s. Today, they produce music for various artists, including Angel City and Despina Vandi, and were behind the global phenomenon Crazy Frog.
