Popshop is Cornelia Dahlgren, (lead vocals) Patrik Magnusson, (guitarr) Johan "Ramirez" Ramstrˆm, (guitarr) Michael Olofsson, (drums) and Jonas Hermansson (bass). This young and interesting popband was formed i Kalmar, Sweden in early 1998.
After a simple demorecording PopShop were noticed in media and soon after, Remixed Records recorded and released their first single. In 1999 their carrier as popstars really took off.

On their forthcoming album "How To Tango", they’ve collaborated with the elite of Swedish producers and songwriters such as Andreas Carlsson (Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, N’Sync and Westlife), Kent Gillstrˆm (Titiyo, Eagle Eye Cherry, Steven Simmonds), Dan Sundquist (Jakob Hellman, Jumper),Peter Bostrˆm and Joakim Udd (Camilla Brink, Bosson) Leif Larsson (Faith Hill and Louise Hoffsten). Most of the recordings have been done in the Polar Studio, Stockholm and have been mixed by Alar Suunar (Roxette) on Shortlist.

The album is a great collection of strong poptunes with a distinct sound that is presented by the beautiful, interesting and very charactaristic voice of Cornelia. "How To Tango" also contains a fantastic version of David Bowie's number one hit "Life on Mars".
Their first single ”Careless”, taken from the album, was released in February 2002 and with that single PopShop gained airplay all over Sweden. The video also made the MTV Up North chart where it accually still klings on.

Currently a video for the next single, ”Piece Of Cake”, is beeing produced by the awarded productioncompany StyleWar. The sngelrelease will be supported by national radio-and TV-advertising. Together with the expected airplay this will build up the name of PopShop in time for the album release, which is set to late May. A profound marketingstrategy also supports this release and advertising will be made in the radio- , TV- and printmedia. We will also have a high activity on the internet.

Allready, with only one single released, the word of PopShop has spread and reached many in the music- and mediabuisness. Much due to the magical performance they gave in Stockholm at their showcase earlier this year.
Pretty soon everybody will know that Popshop is a young, unique and pure swedish popband wich most definetly will be heared and seen all over the world in the near future.
