Bobby Summer gets his musical interest from his father who has been working as a musician since Bobby was a young kid. As the expression goes, like father - like son, Bobby himself has choosen a life as musician walking in his fathers footsteps! Bobby has been "on-stage" since his early teens. It all took off when he was working as a busker in Stockholm.
Not only does Bobby sing and play the guitarr, he has also worked as a Karaoke host in the past and on the famous showrestaurant "Wallmans Salonger" in Malmö, where he was the absolute public favourite in a fantastic show!
One night in a pub (where Bobby was working at the time) he was discovered by two song writers that really liked his remarkable voice! After a long discussion they started working on material and came to present "Mariella", "La Mexicana" and the current single "Jabba Jabba" to the production team Cosmic and Sezam at Remxied Records.
The sound of the songs were a mix of commercial pop and strong hooks with latino-influences. Toghether they decided to produce "Mariella" which was going to be Bobbys first single. "Mariella" was released in Sweden in the spring of 1997 and it scored great success both in Sweden and in the rest of Scandinavia!
